2016 - Post cruise holiday in Singapore

Four days three nights in Singapore

1 - 4 Dec 2016

After our Costa Victoria cruise we extended our stay in Singapore for another three nights. We have booked a three nights stay at The Pod, which is a boutique capsule hotel along Beach Road. It is within walking distance to the Bugis MRT station and Nichol Highway MRT station. It cost us about RM230 per night for a double bed. Upon checking in we were informed that children are not allowed to stay in the hostel even with their parents for safety reason and for the comfort of other guests. However, we were granted a one time waiver since we were not aware and did not read the terms and conditions in Agoda website.

The Pod @ Beach Road Boutique Capsule Hotel is a chic property featuring capsule bedding with personal lockers. Located on Beach Road, The Pod @ Beach Road Boutique Capsule Hotel serves a daily buffet breakfast and provides free WiFi for guests

Day 1 - 1 Dec 2016

After disembarkation at the Singapore Cruise Centre we took the MRT to the Nichol Highway MRT station and walk to The Pod @ Beach Road. After checking in we walked to the Bugis Junction Mall for our dinner. After dinner we did some shopping at the famous Bugis shopping street before retiring for the night.

Later we walked to Marina Bay Sands to watch the light and sound show by the waterfront. It is a 13 minutes of showpiece of visual effects by the waterfront with the stunning cityscape of Singapore lit up in the background.

Day 3 - 3 December 2016

This morning after breakfast we visited the Botanical Garden. We took a long and leisure walk to the Orchid Gardens.

Later we had lunch at Maxwell Food Court. After lunch we walked to the nearby China Town for some shopping.

Later we drop by Suntec City where we had our dinner at the food court

After dinner we went again to the National Gallery to watch the light and sound show

We end our day by going to the famous Orchard Road to watch the Christmas lights decoration.

As usual there are many streets performers along the side walk. We took a rest by seating down and watch the performance for a while.

It was a long day out and we were physically tired by all the walking and rushing. We went back to The Pod for a good night sleep before we depart for Kuantan the next morning.

DAY 4 - 4 December 2016

After breakfast we walked across the road to the bus terminal to board the 9:30 am bus back to Kuantan. We had a smooth clearing at the immigration and customs and arrived at Kuantan at around 5pm. Overall it was a good holiday with my love ones and we planned to have more such holidays in future.
